I was heartbroken to hear that such a terrible thing could happen to such a wonderful person. I know you are strong enough to pull through this and that your family and God will be with you along the way. All of us in Tampa are thinking about you and praying for your recovery. Dear Alana and family -

We just wanted you to know that you are in our prayers. Alana, you covered my son's return home from Iraq in Oct. 06 where he was injured by enemy fire. When you came to our home I was pleasantly surprised at your professionalism, but more importantly the compassionate way in which you conducted the interview with my son. You made a difference that day - you allowed him diginity and grace in a very difficult time for our family. We want you to know that we were saddened to hear of your accident and once again will keep you and your family in our prayers! God Speed!!!!

Today (Sunday)marks the eighth day after your accident - and everyday since that accident, you have been in our daily thoughts and prayers as we continue to keep up with the KWCH web site and Eye Witness News on your progress and recovery. The journey for all of you, at times, has to be an unbearable cross. It's also very difficult to understand why all of this had to happen to a wonderful person like you - being so innocent, loving every minute of life, and having a loving heart toward all people. In the 2 years that you were our tenant during your tenure in Hays, KS, you were a very special tenant to us, which we will always have those memories.

As this long journey road of recovery brings you improvement each and every day with the medical staff's direction, prayers from all of us anxiously waiting, and the angel's guiding lights - Alana, we want to let you know that you are an angel on earth that touches many people's lives and you also bring bright & brilliant shine to many people's hearts.

We look forward to the day that you will be out of ICU and we can come to the Hospital in Wichita to see you and meet your family. They have to be wonderful and special like you. Alana - Birthday greetings from us!!

Last June, we were waiting for my husband to come out of the trauma unit. . .it's not easy, but Wichita is blessed with a great team. Then, the recovery process takes so much time that we are still waiting for it to be completed. We wish your family all the best as waiting is sometimes the hardest part. dear Alana,
We have been praying for you everyday. My dad is going to church everyday too to pray for you. All of my friends have you in their prayers as well. Its good to come home everyday and have my dad tell me you are getting better and better. You are a very beautiful, talented,and smart girl and you're a fighter so we know you can get through this. I have been reading what some people have written to you and someone even named their daughter after you!Thats is pretty darn special. I want to you to know that I love you to the moon and back!!
