Alana - Being your landlords during your tenure in Hays, Ks, we admired your strength, courage, and youthful vigor you had the day we met you when we showed you your new future Apartment at 502 W. 39th Street - - Coming all the way from Florida by yourself to the unknown of Western Kansas to become a TV news anchor!! We were so thrilled to have you as a renter. Your smile, love for life, personality, neatness, politeness, friendliness, understanding, and willingness to always help anyone are attributes we will never forget. We often thought of you as one of our family. We were also thankful that you had your parents cell phones on your rental application. It was our only contact to where we could speak to your familly (mother) after hearing about the accident. Alana, your strength, courage, youthful vigor, smile, love for life, personality, friendliness, and other attributes along with prayers for you from all of us that love and admire you will pull you and your family through these difficult times. We will continue to follow your progress daily. The renters at the Apartment complex are also very concerned about your condition and likewise are keeping you and your family in their prayers. Hopefully after your recovery, we will have a chance to once again see you on TV, as well as have the opportunity to see you in person when you are back in the Western Kansas area. As we often joked, maybe we will see you on FOXNEWS one of these days!! You certainly have made a true impact on many people's lives, including ours. We were so fortunate getting to know such a wonderful person like you in our Apartments while you were in Hays.

Your Hays, KS Landlords
Vernon & Carol Kinderknecht

Alana,
My prayers are with you. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I enjoy watching you on channel 12.
I too have had a bout with a drunk driver. Too bad they never hurt themselves only innocent people. This driver had many DUI's too, but they always slap the hand and let them go . Even after they do damage to someone.I pray your recovery is complete.
